Narasimha Bīja Mantra

ॐ क्ष्रौं नरसिंहाय नमः

Om Kṣrauṁ Narasiṁhāya Namaḥ

Om! Salutations to Lord Narasiṁha, invoked through the powerful seed syllable Kṣrauṁ.

Alternative: Om Kṣrauṁ — I bow to Lord Narasiṁha.

• This mantra is used for protection, removal of fear, and spiritual strength.
• Narasiṁha is considered the protector of bhaktas (devotees) and destroyer of inner and outer demons.
• The bīja "Kṣrauṁ" is extremely potent — it encapsulates the fiery energy of Viṣṇu in his most fearsome form.

Narasimha Gāyatrī Mantra

ॐ उग्रनृसिंहाय विद्महे
वज्रनखाय धीमहि
तन्नो नृसिंहः प्रचोदयात्

Om Ugra-Nṛsiṁhāya Vidmahe
Vajranakhāya Dhīmahi
Tanno Nṛsiṁhaḥ Prachodayāt

Om! Let us contemplate the fierce form of Lord Narasiṁha.
We meditate on Him whose nails are like thunderbolts.

• Vajra-nakha: Symbolizes indestructible spiritual strength and the unfailing victory of divine power over evil forces.
• This mantra calls for Narasiṁha’s protection, destroys fears, removes obstacles, and awakens inner courage and faith.

वज्रनखाय विद्महे
तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्राय धीमहि
तन्नो नरसिंहः प्रचोदयात्

Tīkṣṇa Daṁṣṭrāya Dhīmahi
Tanno Narasiṁhaḥ Prachodayāt

Let us contemplate the one whose nails are like thunderbolts.
We meditate upon the one with sharp, fierce fangs.
May that Lord Narasiṁha inspire and guide our intellect.

• Vajra-Nakha (thunderbolt nails) points to Narasiṁha’s unbreakable power — He used his divine claws (nails) to tear apart the demon Hiraṇyakaśipu, defying all weapons and protections.
• Tīkṣṇa-Daṁṣṭra (sharp fangs) highlights his fearsome appearance that terrorized evil forces but protected pure devotees like Prahlāda.
• The mantra is aimed at invoking: unstoppable divine strength, fierce protection, removal of all evil influences, while inspiring spiritual courage in the devotee.
