    Gaṅgā is worshipped during sandhyā (dawn and dusk), the sacred junctures of day, as she connects the divine and earthly.

  987. ॐ सर्वसारसमन्वितायै नमः।
    oṁ sarvasārasamanvitāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the One Endowed with All Essences
    She embodies the essence of all sacredness, flowing with divine knowledge, purity, and blessings.

  988. ॐ हरप्रियायै नमः।
    oṁ harapriyāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the Beloved of Hara (Śiva)
    Gaṅgā is cherished by Śiva, who holds her in his matted locks, symbolizing the union of śakti and śiva.

  989. ॐ हृषीकेश्यै नमः।

    Salutations to the One Dear to Hṛṣīkeśa (Viṣṇu)
    She is equally dear to Lord Viṣṇu, nourishing all beings through her sacred flow, as Lakṣmī does with grace.

    The swan (haṁsa) symbolizes purity and wisdom; Gaṅgā's essence is likened to its serene and majestic nature.

    Salutations to the Golden-Hued One
    Her luminous waters shine with golden radiance, signifying divine brilliance and splendor.

  992. ॐ हृताघसङ्घायै नमः।
    oṁ hṛtāghasaṅghāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the One Who Removes Clusters of Sins
    Gaṅgā clears the heavy burden of accumulated karma, liberating the soul from bondage.

  993. ॐ हितकृते नमः।
    oṁ hitakṛte namaḥ
    Salutations to the Doer of Good
    Her every action and blessing is for the well-being and upliftment of all beings.

    oṁ helāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the Graceful One
    Gaṅgā’s movements are marked by divine grace—her flow is playful yet purposeful.

  995. ॐ हेलाघगर्वहृते नमः।
    oṁ helāghagarvahṛte namaḥ
    Salutations to the One Who Destroys the Arrogance of Sin
    She humbles the ego of sinners and purges the prideful with her cleansing power.

  996. ॐ क्षेमदायै नमः।
    oṁ kṣemadāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the Giver of Well-Being
    Gaṅgā ensures both material welfare and spiritual protection to those devoted to her.

  997. ॐ क्षालिताघौघायै नमः।
    oṁ kṣālitāghaughāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the One Who Washes Away All Sin
    Her touch and invocation cleanse even the most severe sins accumulated over many lifetimes.

  998. ॐ क्षुद्रविद्राविण्यै नमः।
    oṁ kṣudravidrāviṇyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the One Who Drives Away Petty Thoughts
    She dispels narrowness of mind and purifies the heart, enabling higher thinking and devotion.

  999. ॐ क्षमायै नमः।
    oṁ kṣamāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to the Embodiment of Forbearance
    Gaṅgā patiently bears the burdens of all who come to her, forgiving and transforming them.

  1000. ॐ गङ्गायै नमः।
    oṁ gaṅgāyai namaḥ
    Salutations to Gaṅgā Herself
    This name is the culmination of all her attributes—Gaṅgā, the divine river, the goddess, the mother of liberation.
