Vedānta — the “end of the Veda” — is the inquiry into Brahman conducted through three foundations: the Upaniṣads as revealed testimony, the Brahma-sūtra as reasoned method, and the Bhagavad-gītā as instruction joining knowledge to practice. Its schools differ in their conclusions while sharing that canon.
