The Brahma Vaivarta Purāṇa is one of the eighteen Mahāpurāṇas and is especially significant in devotional (bhakti) traditions, particularly for its exaltation of Kṛṣṇa, Rādhā, and Divine Feminine energies like Lakṣmī, Sarasvatī, and Pārvatī. It is composed in Sanskrit and is relatively late among the Purāṇas in its current form.
