Undivided devotion — ananya-cetāḥ, a consciousness not distributed among alternative shelters (Bhagavad-gītā 8.14). The distinction that matters is not which activities a person performs but where their faith rests: one may use medicine, attend a family ceremony or honour a deva while taking shelter of Kṛṣṇa alone.
