The traditional system in which words stand for numbers — manu for fourteen, ṛṣi for seven, śakra for fourteen. Dhyānacandra Gosvāmī uses it to encode the meditative ages of the sakhīs, giving Citrā fourteen years, seven months and fourteen days. A caution for searching: the numeral-word manu is not the progenitor Manu.
