Kardama Muni’s wife and the mother of Kapiladeva. Having received the Sāṅkhya instruction from her own son, she praises Him in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.33 — and there declares that one on whose tongue the holy name is present, however low his birth, stands higher than an accomplished brāhmaṇa.
