Divyonmāda, divine madness — the most extreme reach of mahābhāva, in which the force of prema dissolves the boundary between memory and present perception, waking and dream. It is not confusion but excess: Rādhā relives a past moment as though it were happening, then cannot say what hour it is or whether She is asleep.
