The goddess the gopīs worship in the Bhāgavatam — the classic apparent exception to exclusive devotion. What resolves it is what they ask for: nanda-gopa-sutaṁ patiṁ me kuru, make the son of Nanda our husband. Not wealth, health or power, but Kṛṣṇa. So the worship is itself an expression of ananya-bhakti.
