Kṛpācārya, brother of Kṛpī and so uncle of Aśvatthāmā, one of the teachers of the Kuru princes and one of the few warriors to survive Kurukṣetra. At the dying Duryodhana’s command it was Kṛpa who formally installed Aśvatthāmā as the final Kaurava commander, and he joined the night raid on the Pāṇḍava camp.
