Pithara

About this text

The husband of Citrā-devī, given as Pīṭhara by Rūpa Gosvāmī and as Pīṭharaka by Dhyānacandra Gosvāmī. Like the husbands of the other sakhīs, he belongs to the prosīta or nominal-marriage framework that keeps their service to Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa unimpeded.
