The principle that one scriptural expression may legitimately carry several meanings. Madhya 24 accepts it — but a Sanskrit word supporting several meanings does not support every imaginable meaning. Mahāprabhu’s readings remain accountable to grammar, lexicon, surrounding verse, śāstric cross-reference and theological coherence: freedom within fidelity.
