Association with those in whom devotion already lives. The Bhāgavata treats sādhu-saṅga not as one practice among several but as the condition under which the others become fruitful, which is why Jaḍa Bharata tells King Rahūgaṇa that realization is not reached without the dust of the feet of the great.
