About this text

The clay markings worn on the body by Vaiṣṇavas. The Śyāmānandī tilaka, also called Kṛpā-bindu, “the drop of mercy”, is said to have been left when Lalitā pressed Rādhārāṇī’s anklet to Śyāmānanda’s forehead: two vertical lines with a dot where the central jewel touched.
