नित्यानन्दं अहं वन्दे
कर्णे लम्बितमौक्तिकम् ।
चैतन्याग्रजरूपेण
पवित्रीकृतभूतलम् ॥

nityānandaṁ ahaṁ vande
karṇe lambita-mauktikam
caitanyāgraja-rūpeṇa
pavitrī-kṛta-bhūtalam

Translation:
I offer my respectful obeisances to Śrī Nityānanda, on whose ear a pearl earring swings.

Taking the form of the elder brother of Caitanya, He sanctified the earth.

प्रणम्य श्रीजगन्नाथं
नित्यानन्दमहाप्रभुम् ।
नाम्नामष्टोत्तरशतं
प्रवक्ष्यामि मुदाकरम् ॥

praṇamya śrī-jagannāthaṁ
nityānanda-mahāprabhum
nāmnām aṣṭottara-śatam
pravakṣyāmi mudākaram

Translation:
Bowing to Śrī Jagannātha and Śrī Nityānanda Mahāprabhu,

I shall now joyfully recite His 108 names, which bring bliss to the heart.

1. ॐ नीलाम्बरधराय नमः

   Om Nīlāmbara-Dharāya Namaḥ

   To the one who wears blue garments

   Nityānanda is adorned in deep blue cloth, symbolic of his transcendental, serene nature.
2. ॐ श्रीमते लाङ्गूलिने नमः

   Om Śrīmate Lāṅgūline Namaḥ

   To the glorious wielder of the plough

   He holds the plough as a symbol of strength and connection to Balarāma, the original source of Nityānanda.
3. ॐ मुसलप्रियाय नमः

   Om Musala-Priyāya Namaḥ

   To the one who delights in the club

   He joyfully wields the mace-like club, displaying his prowess in subduing demonic forces.
4. ॐ शङ्कर्षणाय नमः

   Om Śaṅkarṣaṇāya Namaḥ

   To Śaṅkarṣaṇa, the integrator of the cosmos

   This name identifies Him with Śaṅkarṣaṇa, the cosmic expansion of Lord Viṣṇu responsible for universal cohesion.
5. ॐ चन्द्रवर्णाय नमः

   Om Candra-Varṇāya Namaḥ

   To the one whose complexion is like the moon

   Nityānanda’s complexion is soothing and radiant, like the full moon, symbolizing peace and purity.
6. ॐ यदूनां कुलमङ्गलाय नमः

   Om Yadūnāṁ Kula-Maṅgalāya Namaḥ

   To the one who is the auspiciousness of the Yadu dynasty

   As a divine member of the Yadu lineage, he brings fortune, glory, and purity to that noble family.
7. ॐ गोपिकारमणाय नमः

   Om Gopikāramaṇāya Namaḥ

   To the beloved of the gopīs

   Nityānanda delights in the company of the gopīs, reflecting his divine, playful nature as a rasa-filled companion of Kṛṣṇa.
8. ॐ रामाय नमः

   Om Rāmāya Namaḥ

   To the supreme enjoyer

   He is Rāma, full of bliss and joy, the very personification of divine delight and spiritual happiness.
9. ॐ वृन्दावनकलानिधये नमः

   Om Vṛndāvana-Kalānidhaye Namaḥ

   To the treasure-moon of Vṛndāvana

   As the shining ornament of Vṛndāvana, He brings beauty and joy to that sacred land of divine love.
10. ॐ कदम्बार्यै नमः

    Om Kadambāryai Namaḥ

    To the one adorned with kadamba flowers

    His form is decorated with garlands of fragrant kadamba blossoms, sacred to the Lord’s lilās in Vṛndāvana.
11. ॐ सुधामत्ताय नमः

    Om Sudhā-Mattāya Namaḥ

    To the one intoxicated by nectar

    Sri Nityānanda is blissfully intoxicated by the honey-like nectar of divine prema (love).
12. ॐ गोपगोपीगणावृताय नमः

    Om Gopa-Gopī-Gaṇāvṛtāya Namaḥ

    To the one surrounded by cowherd boys and girls

    He joyfully plays among the gopas and gopīs, embodying the sweet mood of Vraja’s divine pastimes.
13. ॐ गोपीमण्डलमध्यस्थाय नमः

    Om Gopī-Maṇḍala-Madhyasthāya Namaḥ

    To the one who stands amidst the circle of gopīs

    He is at the center of the rāsa-circle, the spiritual heart of the gopīs’ devotion and divine love.
14. ॐ रसताण्डवपण्डिताय नमः

    Om Rasa-Tāṇḍava-Paṇḍitāya Namaḥ

    To the master of ecstatic rasa-dancing

    He is supremely skilled in the divine art of dancing in ecstatic love, leading the rāsa festival of bliss.
15. ॐ रमणी-रमणाय नमः

    Om Ramaṇī-Ramaṇāya Namaḥ

    To the lover of beautiful women

    He is the beloved of the enchanting damsels of Vraja, who serve Him with love and devotion.
16. ॐ कामिने नमः

    Om Kāmine Namaḥ

    To the one who feels divine longing

    He embodies transcendental desire, always longing for union with the Supreme in the mood of divine love.
17. ॐ मदघूर्णितलोचनाय नमः

    Om Mada-Ghūrṇita-Locanāya Namaḥ

    To the one whose eyes roll in ecstatic intoxication

    His divine eyes sway and roll, overwhelmed with the nectar of prema, expressing the bliss of spiritual intoxication.
18. ॐ रसोत्सवपरिश्रान्ताय नमः

    Om Rasa-Utsava-Pariśrāntāya Namaḥ

    To the one who becomes weary from the festival of rasa

    He dances and delights so vigorously in divine pastimes that even He becomes playfully tired.
19. ॐ घर्मनिरावृताननाय नमः

    Om Gharma-Nirāvṛtānanāya Namaḥ

    To the one whose face is covered with sweat

    Engaged deeply in divine play, His glowing face glistens with droplets of divine perspiration.
20. ॐ कालिन्दीभेदनोत्साहिने नमः

    Om Kālindī-Bhedanotsāhine Namaḥ

    To the one who enthusiastically split the Kālindī River

    With His plough, He divided the river Yamunā (Kālindī) to protect and reveal His strength and glory.
21. ॐ नीरक्रीडकुतूहलाय नमः

    Om Nīra-Krīḍā-Kutūhalāya Namaḥ

    To the one eager for water sports

    Delighting in joyful pastimes, He is enthusiastic about playing in the sacred waters of divine rivers.
22. ॐ गौराश्रयाय नमः

    Om Gaurāśrayāya Namaḥ

    To the one who takes shelter of Gaura

    Nityānanda eternally takes refuge in Lord Gaurāṅga, serving Him with unwavering devotion.
23. ॐ समाय नमः

    Om Samāya Namaḥ

    To the one who is equipoised

    He remains undisturbed in all situations, perfectly balanced in spiritual consciousness.
24. ॐ शान्ताय नमः

    Om Śāntāya Namaḥ

    To the peaceful one

    He radiates inner peace and calm, free from worldly agitation and conflict.
25. ॐ मायामानुषरूपधराय नमः

    Om Māyā-Mānuṣa-Rūpa-Dharāya Namaḥ

    To the one who assumes a human-like form

    Though transcendental, He appears in a human form to bless the living beings with His pastimes.
26. ॐ नित्यानन्दावधूताय नमः

    Om Nityānandāvadhūtāya Namaḥ

    To the blissful avadhūta

    He is eternally blissful and beyond material conventions, a wandering divine mendicant.
27. ॐ यज्ञसूत्रधराय नमः

    To the one who wears the sacred thread

    He wears the brāhmaṇical thread, signifying purity and the performance of sacred duties.
28. ॐ सुधये नमः

    Om Sudhaye Namaḥ

    To the one of exalted intellect

    He is endowed with the highest intelligence, capable of revealing transcendental truth.
29. ॐ पतितप्राणदाय नमः

    Om Patita-Prāṇa-Dāya Namaḥ

    To the giver of life to the fallen

    He bestows spiritual vitality upon the fallen souls caught in the cycle of birth and death.
30. ॐ पृथ्वीपावनाय नमः

    Om Pṛthvī-Pāvanāya Namaḥ

    To the purifier of the earth

    His divine presence purifies the entire world and all who dwell in it.
31. ॐ भक्तवत्सलाय नमः

    Om Bhakta-Vatsalāya Namaḥ

    To the one who is affectionate to His devotees

    He lovingly cares for all His devotees, always favoring those devoted to Him with sincerity.
32. ॐ प्रेमानन्दमदोन्मत्ताय नमः

    Om Premānanda-Madonmattāya Namaḥ

    To the one intoxicated with the bliss of divine love

    He is overwhelmed with the ecstasy of prema (pure love), maddened with transcendental joy.
33. ॐ ब्रह्मादिनामगोचराय नमः

    Om Brahmādi-Nāma-Gocarāya Namaḥ

    To the one known by names among Brahmā and others

    Even great beings like Brahmā chant His holy names, which are revealed only to the most exalted souls.
34. ॐ वनमालधराय नमः

    Om Vana-Māla-Dharāya Namaḥ

    To the wearer of a garland of forest flowers

    He adorns His body with a garland of wild forest blossoms, embodying Vraja’s natural charm.
35. ॐ हरये नमः

    Om Haraye Namaḥ

    To Hari, the remover of sins

    As Hari, He destroys the ignorance and attachments that bind the soul in saṁsāra.
36. ॐ रोचनादिविभूषिताय नमः

    Om Rocanādi-Vibhūṣitāya Namaḥ

    To the one ornamented with rocana and other cosmetics

    His divine form is anointed with auspicious substances like rocana (yellow pigment), enhancing His beauty.
37. ॐ नागेन्द्रशुण्डदण्डबाहवे नमः

    Om Nāgendra-Śuṇḍa-Daṇḍa-Bāhave Namaḥ

    To the one whose arms resemble the trunks of elephants

    His mighty arms are long, thick, and graceful, likened to the majestic trunks of royal elephants.
38. ॐ सुवर्णकङ्कणमण्डिताय नमः

    Om Suvarṇa-Kaṅkaṇa-Maṇḍitāya Namaḥ

    To the one adorned with golden bangles

    He wears radiant golden armlets, which shine like the rising sun and beautify His divine form.

    Om Calac-Cañcala-Nūpurāya Namaḥ

    To the one whose anklets jingle as His body sways

    As He dances and walks with joy, His anklets ring sweetly, enchanting all who hear.
41. ॐ गजेन्द्रगतिलावण्याय नमः

    Om Gajendra-Gati-Lāvaṇyāya Namaḥ

    To the one who moves gracefully like the king of elephants

    His majestic gait evokes the stately elegance of the lord of elephants, filled with royal charm.
42. ॐ सम्मोहितजगज्जनाय नमः

    Om Sammohita-Jagaj-Janāya Namaḥ

    To the one who mesmerizes all people

    His beauty and divine qualities captivate the hearts and minds of everyone in the world.
43. ॐ संवित्सुभलीलधृग्नमः

    Om Saṁvit-Śubha-Līla-Dṛg Namaḥ

    To the one who beholds and enacts auspicious divine pastimes

    He reveals blissful, divine lilās that veil His supreme position while bestowing joy upon the devotees.
44. ॐ रोमाञ्चितकलेवराय नमः

    Om Romāñcita-Kalevarāya Namaḥ

    To the one whose body is thrilled with ecstasy

    His skin erupts in goosebumps as He is immersed in spiritual rapture and divine love.
45. ॐ हो हो ध्वनिसुधाशिषे नमः

    Om Ho Ho Dhvani-Sudhāśiṣe Namaḥ

    To the one who grants nectar-like blessings while exclaiming “Ho! Ho!”

    With jubilant cries, He bestows sweet, divine benedictions upon the world.
46. ॐ मुखचन्द्रविराजिताय नमः

    Om Mukha-Candra-Virājitāya Namaḥ

    To the one whose face shines like the full moon

    His countenance radiates cooling brilliance and beauty, like the moon in its full glory.
47. ॐ सिन्दूरारुणसुस्निग्धाय नमः

    Om Sindūrāruṇa-Susnigdhāya Namaḥ

    To the one of soft, vermilion-red hue

    His tender glow is like the color of sindūra or bimba fruit, filled with divine charm and sweetness.
48. ॐ सुभिम्बाधरपल्लवाय नमः

    Om Subimba-Ādhara-Pallavāya Namaḥ

    To the one with lips like tender bimba fruit

    His lips bloom like red bimba fruits—soft, radiant, and utterly enchanting.
49. ॐ स्वभक्तगणमध्यस्थाय नमः

    Om Sva-Bhakta-Gaṇa-Madhyasthāya Namaḥ

    To the one who dwells amidst His devotees

    He remains constantly surrounded by and immersed in the loving company of His dear devotees.
50. ॐ रेवतीप्राणनायकाय नमः

    Om Revatī-Prāṇa-Nāyakāya Namaḥ

    To the Lord of Revati’s life-breath

    As the original Balarāma, He is the beloved of Revati Devī, master of her heart and soul.
51. ॐ लौहदण्डधराय नमः

    Om Lauha-Daṇḍa-Dharāya Namaḥ

    To the wielder of the iron staff

    He carries an iron staff (daṇḍa), symbolizing both protection and discipline against unrighteousness.

    With righteous power, He vanquishes false philosophies and faithless opposition to dharma.

    Nityānanda embodies all devotional moods—dāsya, sakhya, vātsalya, and mādhurya—within Himself.

    He is a luminous divine being, worthy of worship by both devas and humans.
60. ॐ आश्रमाचारवर्जिताय नमः

    Om Āśramācāra-Varjitāya Namaḥ

    He is beyond the restrictions of varṇa and āśrama, freely roaming and blessing all regardless of caste or status.
61. ॐ गुणातीताय नमः

    Om Guṇātītāya Namaḥ

    To the one beyond material qualities

    He is completely transcendental, unaffected by the guṇas of sattva, rajas, and tamas.
62. ॐ गुणमयाय नमः

    To the one filled with transcendental attributes

    Although beyond the modes, He is full of divine guṇas—compassion, joy, knowledge, and love.

    He accepts even the smallest virtue in others and disregards their faults, seeing all as redeemable.

    He is the ocean of spiritual ecstasy, continuously immersed in divine joy.
74. ॐ नटाय नमः

    Om Naṭāya Namaḥ

    To the master of divine dance

    He performs ecstatic dances that express the overflowing love of Kṛṣṇa-prema.
75. ॐ सर्वागममयाय नमः

    Om Sarvāgama-Mayāya Namaḥ

    To the one in whom all scriptures abide

    The truths of all the Vedas, Purāṇas, and Āgamas shine through His teachings and pastimes.
76. ॐ धीराय नमः

    Om Dhīrāya Namaḥ

    To the composed and sober one

    Though wild with prema, He is supremely poised and dignified in His mission.
77. ॐ ज्ञानदाय नमः

    Om Jñāna-Dāya Namaḥ

    To the giver of divine knowledge

    He reveals transcendental truth to those who surrender to Him, dispelling the darkness of ignorance.
78. ॐ मुक्तिदाय नमः

    Om Mukti-Dāya Namaḥ

    To the bestower of liberation

    He grants liberation from material bondage to those blessed by His mercy and grace.
79. ॐ प्रभवे नमः

    Om Prabhave Namaḥ

    To the Supreme Master

    He is the all-powerful Lord, controller of all beings and energies, worshiped by all.
80. ॐ गौडदेशपारित्रात्रे नमः

    Om Gauḍadeśa-Pāritrātre Namaḥ

    To the savior of the land of Gauḍa

    Nityānanda Mahāprabhu protected and uplifted the people of Bengal (Gauḍa-deśa) with divine love.

    To the connoisseur of rasa

    He fully understands and embodies the transcendental flavors of divine relationships.
88. ॐ रसदात्रे नमः

    Om Rasa-Dātre Namaḥ

    To the giver of rasa

    He freely bestows divine rasa—blissful love of God—upon those who take shelter of Him.
89. ॐ रसभोक्त्रे नमः

    Om Rasa-Bhoktre Namaḥ

    To the enjoyer of rasa

    He relishes the ecstatic exchanges of love in all their divine nuance and sweetness.
90. ॐ रसाश्रयाय नमः

    Om Rasāśrayāya Namaḥ

    To the abode of rasa

    He is the ultimate shelter and source of spiritual emotions, love, and ecstatic bliss.
91. ॐ ब्रह्मेशादिमहेन्द्रादिवन्दितश्रीपदाम्बुजाय नमः

    Om Brahmeśādi-Mahendrādi-Vandita-Śrī-Padāmbujāya Namaḥ

    To the lotus feet worshipped by Brahmā, Śiva, Indra, and others

    The demigods led by Brahmā and Śiva offer prostrations at His beautiful, lotus-like feet.
92. ॐ सहस्रमस्तकोपेताय नमः

    Om Sahasra-Mastakopetāya Namaḥ

    To the one endowed with a thousand heads

    In His form as Ananta Śeṣa, He possesses innumerable heads that glorify the Lord eternally.
93. ॐ रसातलसुधाकराय नमः

    Om Rasātala-Sudhākarāya Namaḥ

    To the moon of nectar for the nether worlds

    He distributes divine bliss even to the lowest regions, uplifting all with transcendental nectar.

    Om Kṣīroda-Arṇava-Sambhūtāya Namaḥ

    To the one born of the Ocean of Milk

     Om Nṛ-Doṣa-Darśine Sadaiva Namaḥ

     To the one who always overlooks the faults of mankind

     He eternally sees no faults in the fallen; instead, He magnifies even a spark of devotion.
101. ॐ दयालवे नमः

     Om Dayālave Namaḥ

     To the merciful one

     He embodies compassion, offering mercy to all regardless of qualification.
102. ॐ दुर्गतित्रात्रे नमः

     Om Durgati-Trātre Namaḥ

     To the deliverer from misfortune

     He saves the suffering from their distress and delivers the lost to safety and grace.
103. ॐ कृतान्तो दुष्टदेहिनाम्

     Om Kṛtānto Duṣṭa-Dehinām Namaḥ

     To the one who ends the lives of the wicked

     He becomes death for the impious, ensuring justice and protecting the innocent.
104. ॐ मञ्जुदाशरथये नमः

     Om Mañju-Dāśarathaye Namaḥ

     To the charming son of Daśaratha

     As Lakṣmaṇa, He appeared as the dear son of Daśaratha, full of beauty and valor.
105. ॐ वीरलक्ष्मणाय नमः

     Om Vīra-Lakṣmaṇāya Namaḥ

     To the heroic Lakṣmaṇa

     He is the incarnation of Lakṣmaṇa, full of strength and fearless devotion to Rāma.
106. ॐ सर्वावत्सलभाय नमः

     Om Sarvāval-Labhāya Namaḥ

     To the one by whom all is attained

     Attaining Him is like attaining everything—He is the supreme treasure of all existence.
107. ॐ सदोज्ज्वलाय नमः

     Om Sadojjvalāya Namaḥ

     To the one who is always effulgent

     His brilliance never fades, radiating transcendental beauty and divine light eternally.
108. ॐ रसानन्दिने नमः

     Om Rasānandine Namaḥ

     To the enjoyer of transcendental relationships

     He is immersed in the joy of loving relationships with Kṛṣṇa and His devotees.
109. ॐ वृन्दावनरसप्रदाय नमः

     Om Vṛndāvana-Rasa-Pradāya Namaḥ

     To the giver of Vṛndāvana rasa

     He bestows the sweet mood and blissful essence of Vṛndāvana upon the sincere seeker.
110. ॐ पूर्णप्रेमसुधासिन्धवे नमः

     Om Pūrṇa-Prema-Sudhā-Sindhave Namaḥ

     To the ocean of the nectar of full divine love

     He is an endless sea of love for Kṛṣṇa, overflowing with the nectar of prema for the entire world.
111. ॐ नाट्यलीलाविशारदाय नमः

     Om Nāṭya-Līlā-Viśāradāya Namaḥ

     To the expert in divine dramatic pastimes

     He is deeply skilled in expressing spiritual truth through play, dance, and divine drama.
112. ॐ कोट्यिन्दुवैभवाय नमः

     Om Koṭīndu-Vaibhavāya Namaḥ

     To the one whose splendor equals millions of moons

     His beauty and cooling power surpasses countless moons, soothing and dazzling the soul.
113. ॐ श्रीमते नमः

     Om Śrīmate Namaḥ

     To the illustrious one

     He is full of auspiciousness, glory, and divine wealth, worshiped by gods and sages alike.
114. ॐ जगदाह्लादकारकाय नमः

     Om Jagad-Āhlāda-Kārakāya Namaḥ

     To the one who brings joy to the world

     He infuses the world with happiness through his mercy, leelas, and sacred presence.
115. ॐ गोपालाय नमः

     Om Gopālāya Namaḥ

     To the cowherd

     He is the eternal protector of cows, delighting in the simple and sweet life of Vraja.
116. ॐ सर्वपालाय नमः

     Om Sarva-Pālāya Namaḥ

     To the protector of all

     He guards all beings—devotees, sages, and even sinners—with fatherly affection.
117. ॐ सर्वगोपावतंसकाय नमः

     Om Sarva-Gopa-Avataṁsakāya Namaḥ

     To the crest-jewel of all cowherd boys

     Among all the divine cowherd boys, He shines foremost, beloved of all in Gokula and Vraja.

माघे मासि शुक्लपक्षे त्रयोदश्यां तिथौ सदा।
उपोषणं पूजनं च श्रीनित्यानन्दवासरे॥

Māghe Māsi Śukla-Pakṣe Trayodaśyāṁ Tithau Sadā
Upoṣaṇaṁ Pūjanaṁ Ca Śrī-Nityānanda-Vāsare

On the thirteenth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Māgha,

One who fasts and worships on the appearance day of Śrī Nityānanda…

यद् यत् सः कुरुते कामं तत् तत् एव लभेत् नरः॥

Yad Yat Saḥ Kurute Kāmaṁ Tat Tat Eva Labheta Naraḥ

Whatever desire one sincerely offers during such worship,

That very wish is surely fulfilled by His mercy.

असाध्य-रोगयुक्तोऽपि मुच्यते गद-भिषणात्।
अपुत्रः साधु-पुत्रं च लभते नात्र संशयः॥

Asādhya-Rogayukto’pi Mucyate Gada-Bhiṣaṇāt
Aputraḥ Sādhu-Putraṁ Ca Labhate Nātra Saṁśayaḥ

Even if afflicted with incurable diseases, one becomes free from fearsome illness,

And a childless man surely obtains a noble son—of this, there is no doubt.

नित्यानन्दस्वरूपस्य नाम्नामष्टोत्तरं शतम्।
यः पठेत् प्रातरुत्थाय सः प्रेम हि लभेद् ध्रुवम्॥

Nityānanda-Svarūpasya Nāmnām Aṣṭottaraṁ Śatam
Yaḥ Paṭhet Prātar-Utthāya Saḥ Prema Hi Labhet Dhruvam

One who recites these one hundred and eight names of Śrī Nityānanda each morning,

Certainly attains divine love (prema) without fail.

इति श्रीसर्वभौमभट्टाचार्यपादविरचितं
श्रीनित्यानन्दाष्टोत्तरशतनामस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम्॥

Iti Śrī-Sarvabhauma-Bhaṭṭācārya-Pāda-Viracitaṁ
