Enjoyment and liberation, the two great rival goals. Rūpa Gosvāmī compares the craving for them to a witch inhabiting the heart: while bhukti-mukti-spṛhā remains, the happiness of bhakti cannot arise there. The key word is spṛhā, craving — not possession itself.
