A Kaula tantra of the Śākta tradition, much cited on initiation. Its fourteenth chapter distinguishes dīkṣā by touch, gaze and mind, likens them to the bird, the fish and the tortoise, and grounds all of them in śaktipāta, the descent of spiritual potency. It also gives a sevenfold scheme and insists that no initiation stands without a qualified ācārya and a living lineage.
