Raghupati Upadhyaya

About this text

A learned brāhmaṇa and poet of Prayāga whose verses Caitanya Mahāprabhu asked to hear again. His most famous couplet bows not to Kṛṣṇa but to Nanda, in whose veranda the Supreme Brahman is at play; Rūpa Gosvāmī later preserved it in the Padyāvalī.
