A village on the Yamunā near Gokula, traditionally revered as Śrī Rādhā’s appearance place. The Rāvala tradition tells of Vṛṣabhānu discovering the infant Rādhā within a golden lotus upon the river. Rāvala is associated with her infancy, as Barsānā is with her childhood and youthful pastimes.
