The established theological conclusion of a tradition. To contradict it — siddhānta-virodha — is to say something about God, the soul or devotion that the śāstra does not support, and a composition can do that while sounding entirely devotional. Svarūpa Dāmodara names it, with rasābhāsa, as one of the two faults Mahāprabhu could not bear to hear.
