About this text

Vṛndā-devī, the goddess who arranges the forest pastimes of Vraja — planting the groves, readying the bowers, and ordering the season and the hour to suit whatever līlā is coming. Vṛndāvana carries her name. She is not the same as Tulasī the plant, though devotional literature sometimes lets the two names overlap.
