Rādhā’s mother and the wife of Vṛṣabhānu. Some sources call her Kīrti rather than Kīrtidā, and the Garga-saṁhitā elsewhere connects Vṛṣabhānu’s wife with Kalāvatī; these names should not automatically be treated as references to different women. With Vṛṣabhānu she feared that their daughter, who would not open her eyes, had been born blind.
