Rukmiṇī, princess of Vidarbha and the principal queen of Kṛṣṇa at Dvārakā. Daughter of King Bhīṣmaka, she sent Kṛṣṇa a confidential letter when her brother Rukmī arranged her marriage to Śiśupāla; Kṛṣṇa yoked the four horses of His chariot and carried her away on the morning of the wedding. The Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam treats her as the foremost of the queens of Dvārakā and as an appearance of Lakṣmī herself.
