Sac-cid-ānanda — being, consciousness and bliss — is the standard description of the Absolute’s own nature. In Gauḍīya theology it is not a list of three attributes but Kṛṣṇa’s svarūpa itself, and it corresponds directly to the threefold working of His one internal potency: sandhinī, saṁvit and hlādinī.
