The many-hooded serpent whose venom poisoned a pool of the Yamunā at Vṛndāvana until Kṛṣṇa subdued him. His presence in the water is named, alongside the demons attacking by air and by land, among the reasons Upananda’s council gave for taking the cowherds out of Vṛndāvana altogether.
