Śrī Lalitā-devī, foremost of the eight principal sakhīs of Śrī Rādhā and chief supervisor among the intimate companions. Golden as gorocanā, dressed in peacock colours, twenty-seven days Rādhā’s senior, and famous as vāma-prakharā — resistant and outspoken, willing to argue with Kṛṣṇa himself when Rādhā’s dignity is at stake.
